Terms and safety
Local Service Board hosts local health, wellness, and beauty ads at a reasonable price. We are not the provider, employer, agent, supervisor, or booking party for any listed service.
Listings are advertisements submitted by independent providers. You are responsible for checking credentials, licenses, insurance, prices, safety, location, policies, and whether a provider is right for you before booking.
Local Service Board is not responsible for provider services, outcomes, appointments, cancellations, payments made outside the platform, injuries, damages, disputes, or anything that may happen if you contact or book a listed provider.
By posting, you confirm your ad is accurate, lawful, respectful, and not misleading. You are responsible for your services, credentials, taxes, client communication, cancellations, refunds, and any legal or professional requirements that apply to your work.
Every ad costs $5 to publish, expires after 30 days, and can be refreshed for $3 to move back to the top and extend another 30 days, regardless of category. Local Service Board may remove ads or reject reviews that appear abusive, unsafe, false, or inappropriate.
Providers may post unlimited ads and unlimited services as long as each ad is paid, truthful, lawful, and follows Local Service Board rules. Any ad that appears sexualized, illegal, unsafe, exploitative, scammy, or otherwise prohibited may be flagged for owner review and removed if it breaks Local Service Board rules.
Providers may currently use Stripe for posting and refresh fees. Bitcoin checkout is coming soon after business verification is complete. Bitcoin transactions may still be traceable on public networks and account contact information is still required.
Posting and refresh fees are generally non-refundable once the ad is published or refreshed, except where required by law or if Local Service Board fails to provide the paid placement. Users must see and accept this warning before paying.
Ads must be truthful, accurate, and not misleading. Providers may only post original descriptions, accurate facts, and photos or materials they own or have permission to use. Do not upload another business's logo, copied website text, copyrighted images, fake reviews, or deceptive claims.
Providers are responsible for any licenses, certifications, insurance, health or beauty regulations, professional rules, and advertising disclosures that apply to their services and state.
Sexual services, sexualized content, illegal services, controlled substances, trafficking, exploitation, threats, violence, fraud, stolen goods, impersonation, and other unlawful or unsafe content are prohibited and will be flagged for owner/admin review.
Users can report ads or reviews that appear false, unsafe, abusive, infringing, or illegal. A provider or business owner can request to claim, correct, or remove a listing. Local Service Board reviews those requests and may edit, remove, or reject content.
If a copyright, trademark, impersonation, or privacy concern is reported, Local Service Board will review the notice and remove or restrict the content when appropriate.
Privacy and accessibility
This prototype includes the basic notices Local Service Board needs before connecting real accounts, payments, analytics, and moderation tools.
Local Service Board collects account name, email, phone number, provider ad details, photos, reviews, reports, claim requests, and payment status. We use this information to run the platform, publish ads, moderate reviews, process reports, communicate with users, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
Local Service Board does not sell personal information in this prototype. Users may request access, correction, deletion, or removal of their account, ad, review, report, or claim information.
If a provider pays with Bitcoin, Local Service Board does not require a legal cardholder name for that payment method. Local Service Board still stores the account email or phone number used to manage the ad.
California users and users in other states with privacy laws may have rights to know what personal information is collected, why it is collected, whether it is shared, and how to request access, correction, deletion, or opt out where applicable.
Before launch, Local Service Board should publish a full Privacy Policy, Notice at Collection, contact method, and data retention rules.
Local Service Board aims to be usable by people with disabilities. The site uses semantic sections, form labels, keyboard-friendly controls, readable contrast, responsive layouts, and clear button text.
Before public launch, the site should be tested against WCAG accessibility guidance with keyboard, screen reader, color contrast, focus order, and mobile checks.
Register the business in the home state, add real payment terms, publish full Terms and Privacy Policy pages, add a public support email, create moderation procedures, and use licensed legal review before accepting real money or public listings.

In this prototype, new reviews wait here until the site owner approves or dismisses them. Reports and claim/removal requests also land here. Ads flagged by the safety scanner publish immediately, then appear here so the owner can review them and remove them if needed.
